Our true Father

Doha explanation - saba jīva bhāī bhāī goviṃda rādhe। saba kā pitā hai eka kṛṣṇa batā de॥
"All souls are siblings because they have the same Father. That one Father is Shri Krishna.""

In the Vedas, Bhrigu, the son of the sage Varun, approached his Brahmagyāni father and asked, "We often hear the names Brahm, Bhagavān, and Paramātmā. Who exactly are they? We also hear that Brahm is the Father of all. What does that mean?"

Varun replied:
yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante। yena jātāni jīvanti।
yat prayantyabhisaṃviśanti। tad brahma vijijñāsasva॥

The One from whom all beings arise, by whom they are sustained, and into whom they ultimately enter at the time of dissolution is known as Brahm, Bhagavān, or God.

The scriptures further explain:
cetanastu dvidhā prokto jīva ātmeti ca prabho -
There are two categories of conscious beings:

  1. Jīva (Individual souls) - Jīvas are conscious living beings who see, hear, smell, taste, touch, think, and understand. Human beings, animals, birds, insects, trees, and all other living beings are jīvas.
  2. Ātmā - The word Ātmā is used in the Vedas in different senses. Sometimes it refers to the individual soul, and at other times it refers to the Supreme Lord Himself.ya ātmani tiṣṭhati - here, Ātmā refers to the Supreme God.

jīvā brahmādayaḥ proktā ātmaikastu janārdanaḥ।
All beings, including Brahmā and the others, are jīvas. The one and only Supreme Ātmā is Shri Krishna.

Thus, apart from Shri Krishna, everyone else is a jīva. Some are His svānshas (personal expansions), while others are His vibhinnānshas (the souls bound by māyā).

Therefore, the Vedas and all other scriptures unanimously declare that God alone is the Father of all living beings.
