The Glories of the Sacred Dust of Braj
bhakta-pada-dhūli āra bhakta-pada-jala। bhakta-bhukta-avaśiṣṭa, tina mahā-bala। Yei tin sevā haite Kṛṣṇe premā haya।
The dust of a devotee's feet, the water that has washed a devotee's feet, and the remnants of the food eaten by a devotee - by continually consuming these three, one develops a natural love for Shri Krishna. Hence, there is great significance to the dust of Braj.
In Odisha, there is a bhajan about this - "Dhūlā mākho re dhūlā mākho re! Dhūlā nuve dhūli nuve gopī-pad-reṇu."
In other words, the dust of Braj is sacred; it is not like ordinary worldly dust. The Gopis once walked upon this land; the dust of their feet is mixed in it. Therefore, the dust of Braj holds immense significance. Even Brahma desires this sacred dust - then what can be said of an ordinary being? Who can be a more knowledgeable devotee than Brahma, who is himself an Anshāvatār, a partial manifestation of God? The Vedic hymns seek the dust of Braj. One receives it only by great fortune.
