If you chant the names of Shri Radha Rani, Shyamsundar will come running to you.
This is not some exaggerated statement, but a fact. In the Skanda Purana it is stated, “If someone says ra Shyamsundar immediately becomes alert thinking, ‘This person is about to say dhe.’” The person may have the intention of saying Ravan, but Shyamsundar is listening eagerly. And if the person says dha, Shyamsundar comes running towards him. Dhavati means the ultimate limit of love, where the lover comes running to his beloved, and the same thing is true for Radha Rani too.
Once, Shrimati Radha Rani confided to a friend of Hers. She said, “O sakhi, I have something very confidential to tell you. Do not tell anyone, it is a very shameful thing!” Her sakhi assured Her, “Why would I tell anyone else anything that You have told me in confidence?”
Shri Radha said, “One day I heard a man take the name of Krishna. I found that name to be so sweet that I thought, ‘How sweet the owner of that name must be!’, and I fell in love with Him, but I had not even seen Him. Then on another day I heard someone playing the flute and every pore of My being wanted to run towards that flute player. I thought to myself, ‘How sweet the person must be whose flute playing is so enchanting.’ Then sakhi, do you remember the day you showed Me a picture of someone?” Now, the sakhi had shown Shri Radha a picture of Shri Krishna. Shri Radha continued, “Just seeing that picture, My mind was forcibly attracted to that person. Just think how shameful this is: My mind is attracted to three different men! It is better if I were to die!”
Her friend replied, “O Shri Radha, You are so simple, naïve and innocent! All three men are in fact one person. The owner of that name is Shri Krishna, and the player of the flute and the person in the picture are also Shri Krishna.” This is the state of Shri Radha.
Once, Shri Krishna said to Radha Rani, “To say that You are My lover, and that I am Your Beloved is not correct. It is also untrue to say that You are My life, and I am Yours. When the scriptures say that Shri Radha is My soul, the scriptures are speaking nonsense!” Shri Radha asked, “Is it correct to say You are Mine and I am Yours instead of calling You ‘My life’ or ‘My Beloved?’”
Shri Krishna said, “No, that is incorrect too. The use of ‘Me’ or ‘You’ in connection with the two of us is incorrect. The fact is that I am You and You are Me. In other words, one personality has become two. So how can ‘mine’ be used here? Can one say ‘mine’ or ‘me’for himself?”
Thus, there is such oneness in the love of Shri Radha and Krishna. It cannot be described in words or understood by the material intellect.
