Tu hi tu hi tu hi to hai mera Nandanandan - meaning - O Shri Krishna, You alone are mine - no one else, no one else, no one else.

The word 'hī' in Hindi means 'only' - only You. Mother, father, brother, son, beloved - You are my everything - tvameva sarvaṁ mama deva deva.

Even after receiving the human body countless times, you have never put this into practice. You said, "You are mine," - but you never practiced, "You 'alone' are mine." You maintained that the world is yours and that God is yours as well. You loved your mother, father, wife, husband, money - all these - and you also loved God. When your daughter leaves after marriage, you shed tears, and when the Guru departs, you shed a couple of tears as well. This means you never truly accept in practice that God alone is yours.

You kept repeating with your mouth:
Tvameva mātā ca pitā tvameva, tvameva bandhuśca sakhā tvameva।
Tvameva vidyā ca draviṇama tvameva, tvameva sarvamama deva devaḥ॥

You kept saying, "You alone are my everything." But you never truly realize it. You loved the world, you loved God, and you also loved the Guru. Everyone kept entering your heart - impure worldly people as well as pure divine entities. Just like when you have a very dirty cloth and apply soap to it, it does not become clean in one wash - only a little dirt comes out. After that, you dip it back into the filth. Even if you keep washing that cloth for infinite lifetimes in this manner, the cloth may tear apart, but it will not become clean. This is exactly your state.

God's condition is 'only' - māmekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja - "Surrender unto Me alone."

You have received the human body countless times - for what purpose? Thus, by practicing devotion to God, you may be freed from this cycle of material existence and attain the divine bliss of God.

In the womb, you promised God, "This time I will only practice devotion to You." But as soon as you were born, your so-called 'well-wishing' relatives deceived you. They taught you, "I am your papa!" By teaching the poor child in this way, they made him attached to themselves. They never told him that his real Father is God, that he is a soul, not a body. One small mistake you made was to consider yourself as the body.

Everything went wrong from there. When that conscious 'I' departed, the reality of this body was exposed - it began to rot within twenty-four hours. Now no one wants to see it. They quickly want to remove it from the house and cremate it.

So, because of forgetting your real self, you never use the word 'only' for God. You did not say, "You alone are my mother, You alone are my father, You alone are my friend" - everything is You.

God is such a great well-wisher that by His grace, the food eaten by the mother kept reaching you in the womb and your body was formed, without your asking. Otherwise, how could any mother feed the child in her womb? As soon as the child is born, He arranged for milk.
God also gives you the results of all your virtuous deeds from countless births - your sense of belonging toward God is proof of this. He also arranges for you to meet a saint whose teachings you accept and then practice the sādhana as taught by him. All this is arranged by God, your true well-wisher.

No one in this world is such a true well-wisher, not even your parents. Everything here is deception. In this world, whoever fulfills someone's selfish interest becomes their father, their son, their sister, their wife - everything. Even if a neighbor fulfills someone's selfish interest, that person becomes their own, and they abandon their own parents and others.

So only God and the Guru are your true well-wishers. Except for these two, no one does anything for anyone else - everyone does everything for themselves. The more your self-interest is fulfilled by someone, the more you love them. Less self-interest, less love. If there is no self-interest fulfilled, there is no love.

For example, until boys and girls complete their education, their parents fulfill their self-interest. During that time, they kept saying "Mommy-Daddy" sweetly. But when they finish their education and get a job, they say, "Dear Father, Namaste! We'll meet again in the next birth." When the father asks, "What do you mean, son? I took care of you and educated you. But you are being so ungrateful?" The son replies, "Oh, father, your father also educated you, so you educated me - the account is settled."

This is the harsh reality of worldly selfishness.

In this world, everyone loves someone only for their own happiness.

Why not? Is this a bad thing?

No - this is natural. Why is nature like this? Because everyone in this world seeks bliss, since everyone is a part of God, who is the embodiment of Bliss. And until one attains divine bliss, one cannot do anything for someone else's happiness. They will do everything only for their own happiness.

When one attains bliss, then they get the title of saint, mahāpurush, or Guru. Now they no longer want to do anything for themselves, because they have attained bliss - there is nothing left to attain. Now they act only for others, not for themselves. Everything is reversed.

So God alone is your everything.

In the Gita, God told Arjun, "Become a surrendered disciple. A disciple is one who surrenders completely. One who exercises his intellect in surrendering cannot become a disciple - he becomes an offender. The fact that you are taking shelter of dharma and also taking shelter of Me - this is wrong. Take shelter of Me alone - then you will not incur the sin of abandoning dharma. In fact, you will not incur any sin if you take My shelter. But 'mām ekaṁ' - come under the shelter of Me alone."

This is 'only' - You alone. Only God should reside in your heart.

Whatever actions you have performed since eternity, apart from devotion to God and Guru, are all sin. The world is not pure - everyone is under the influence of the maya, which is comprised of sattva, rajas, and tamas gunas - sages, ascetics, yogis, and even the celestial Gods. In this world, if you love your mother, father, brother, sister, wife, husband, and so on, then you will attain them after death and keep wandering in the 8.4 million species, because all these are under the influence of maya. If your father has attained God and is a saint, then if you love that father, you will go to Golok. This is the principle of all Vedas, scriptures, and Puranas.

There are only two pure personalities: one is God, and the other is the saint who has attained God. If you consider these two as your beloveds, then your heart will become pure.

Since eternity, you must have loved God and Guru. You love them now, too, but you also love the world. In this way, the mind will never become pure. And without the mind becoming pure, God will not come and reside within - nirmala mana jana so mohi pāvā।

So the conclusion is that you should use 'only' - You 'alone' are my everything. No one else belongs to me. In every birth, worldly parents and relatives keep changing.

In infinite births, you have used 'also' many times. Only by using 'alone' will you receive God's grace and the Guru's grace - let there be no attachment of the mind anywhere else. Only perform your duty towards parents and others - saints and God never stop this. But let the mind's attachment be only toward those who are pure - God and saints. Then that 'only' will get established in your intellect. Radha-Krishna, Their names, forms, pastimes, qualities, abodes, and saints - your mind should remain only on these. They are pure. Everywhere else, only perform your duty.

So you should practice using 'only'. Only through practice can you attain your goal. From eternity until now, no saint has been born who can feed you some magic potion or grant you God-realization automatically. Those poor souls will only do as much as they have authority to do. And where will they give you God's divine love? Until your heart becomes divine, it cannot bear God's bliss. If some saint were even to give the gift of love before that, your entire body will burn to ashes. Therefore, it is your job to make yourself a worthy recipient.
