Daily Devotion - Feb 17, 2026 (English)- Internal and External Conduct
God and saints remain pure and correct within, even though their outward behaviour may sometimes appear flawed. In other words, they may seem to perform actions of lust, anger, greed, and so on. Arjun, Hanuman, Prahlad, and others committed many killings, yet their minds did not become disturbed.
However, worldly people are the opposite - they are disturbed within while appearing composed outwardly. Internally, they harbour ill feelings toward others, yet they behave sweetly outwardly. Therefore, you must practice this - remain undisturbed within, but when necessary, act outwardly as if you are disturbed.
Actors perform scenes of love or enmity in movies, even engaging in physical fights and displaying various expressions as the scene unfolds. Yet they do not feel any of those emotions internally - they act only to earn money. Similarly, you must conduct yourself outwardly according to circumstances while remaining calm and balanced within.
