Do your sadhana diligently.
- As long as you are here, observe silence, meditate on God, chant His names, and derive the benefit of Satsang. The world will continue to exist; it is not going anywhere. Do not be careless.
- As important as it is to meditate on God, it is equally important to remember death. You may not be alive the next moment.
- You should be concerned about your own spiritual progress. Do not look at others.
- Practice Roopdhyan. Practice realizing that Shyamsundar is seated in everyone's hearts. Even when you go outside, continue to remember, "God resides within me."
- Do not speak unnecessarily, nor listen to unnecessary talk. Unnecessary thinking and talking are harmful.
- Through continuous practice, it becomes a habit, and then you will become attached to sadhana and continue to reap its benefits later as well. Then, whenever you have some free time, you will naturally think, "I must do sadhana and make spiritual progress."
- Be humble. Accept yourself as fallen and sinful, and do sadhana while shedding tears. This will purify your mind.
- Do not look at the clock during sadhana.
- Remember God and Guru even while eating or bathing. Reflecting on pure personalities will purify your mind, while dwelling on impure worldly matters will further pollute it.
Human life is very rare; you will not always receive it. Even the celestial Gods yearn for it. At the very least, perform enough devotion so that you may receive a human body once again. All other possessions and achievements will stay behind in this world. You came into the world with a body, and you will leave it behind when you go. Only your actions and the amount of sadhana you diligently perform will accompany you.
- Doing sadhana to show off, to gain praise, or to be regarded as a great devotee is Nāmāparādh.
- Consider yourself lesser than everyone and accept that God resides in everyone. Do not harbor ill feelings toward anyone or hurt anyone. Your Shyamsundar resides within them as well. What will He think? Par peedā sama nahin adhamāi. If you cannot make someone happy, at least try not to hurt them.
- Reflect upon your own faults and remove them. Follow the instructions of the Guru and the scriptures and act accordingly. Tr̥ṇādapi sunīcena tarorapi sahiṣṇunā - become humble and tolerant. See God residing within everyone, and do not feel hurt by small matters.
- Make yourself a great devotional aspirant, in whom God may quickly come to reside, and by doing so, you will also receive the Guru's grace quickly. Rectify your mind and intellect; this is extremely important.
- Every day before sleeping, spend five minutes thinking about the times you faltered during the day, and resolve not to repeat them. You must eliminate both love and hatred for worldly things; otherwise, God will say, "I will stay away from you."
- Therefore, make a firm resolve and remain focused, just as you would be cautious while walking on a busy street. Utilize every moment fruitfully.
Practice in this way for five to six days, and you will realize that your soul is experiencing peace and that you feel happiness. You will see how quickly you have made progress.
