Anta mati soi gati (The Last Moment Determines After Life)
It is the undisputed philosophy of the Vedas and all scriptures that we will attain the one whom we remember at the time of death
We remember four kinds of people - out of these, three belong to the material realm according to their modes of nature - sāttvik, rājasik, and tāmasik. The fourth belongs to the divine realm - God and Saints, who are pure, beyond Māyā.
Shri Krishna told Arjun in the Gita -
antakāle ca māmeva smaranmuktvā kalevaram। yaḥ prayāti sa madbhāvaṁ yāti nāstyatra saṁśayaḥ।
"Arjun! When leaving the body, one must remember Me - then that soul comes to Me."
yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaranbhāvaṁ tyajatyante kalevaram। taṁ tamevaiti kaunteya sadā tadbhāvabhāvitaḥ।
One attains whomever one remembers at the time of death.
Jad Bharat, a Paramhams, remembered a deer at the last moment, so he had to become a deer after death. When such is the fate of a Paramhams, what can be said of ordinary beings?
Shri Krishna told Arjun -
tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu māmanusmara yuddhya ca –
"Therefore, Arjun! Always keep your mind attached to Me - whether you are fighting a battle or doing something else - because no one knows the time of death." If a man knew he would die at 8:05, then until 8:00, he would carelessly waste away his life, and when it was about to be 8:05, he would remember God. This is one of God’s great tricks – that He doesn’t reveal the time of death to anyone except the saints.
oṁ ityekākṣaraṁ brahma vyāharanmāmanusmaran –
Whether someone takes God’s name or not, they must remember Him in the mind.
At the time of death, people call out to their son or daughter – meaning the one to whom they are most attached – saying, “Let me see him once; let me embrace him one last time.” People even say, “I am leaving anyway – give me some delicacy one last time.”
Therefore, if we keep remembering constantly, only then can we cross this cycle of birth and death. Otherwise, who knows at which moment the bell will ring? And then, even if you ask for one more second – absolutely not.
Satat (always), niraṁtar (unceasing), nitya (eternal) – these words are found in abundance in the Gita, Bhagavatam, Ramayana – everywhere – to stress the importance of constant remembrance. Because when death will occur – kohi jānāti kasyādya mr̥tyukālo bhaviṣyati – no one knows.
Always remember this lesson - who knows when a heart attack might occur? The mind must remain attached only to Hari and Guru; only then will we be able to go to Golok after death. This will not happen all of a sudden. For instance, if you’re working in an office, then place Shyamsundar on one side of the desk and keep working. First, practice every half an hour, then every fifteen minutes, then every five minutes - realize that He is right here with you. By practicing like this for a year or two, you will always feel that He is with you.
And this is a fact – He is seated inside. And He is all-pervading outside as well.
sarvataḥ pāṇipādaṁ sarvato'kṣiśiromukham। – Even in His personal form, He is all-pervading.
yadyapi sākāro'yaṁ tathaikadeśī vibhāti yadunāthaḥ।
He is present everywhere in His personal form - He is everywhere in His impersonal form anyway. But you must practice realizing this.
We received many treasures from the Guru, but we lost them. The scriptures and Vedas say – “Āvr̥ttirasakr̥t upadeśāt” – listen again and again, think again and again. Through repeated contemplation, it comes into practice.
Forget God. By consuming dirty things like alcohol, tea, cigarettes, etc., they begin to prick the mind to consume them again. These afflictions were not born with us – we adopted them as we grew. So if such inert things can capture us and circle in our mind, then God, who is an ocean of bliss, if we remember Him again and again, there is only bliss there; how will He leave our mind? But for that, we must practice.

The Mind Is the Battlefield- The Eternal Conflict Between Desire and Detachment
The scriptures and Vedas present two seemingly contradictory statements. One states that detachment from the world must happen first, while the other declares that attachment to God must come first. In explaining this, Shri Maharaj Ji has emphasized a crucial point - both detachment and attachment happen only in the
