7 July 2025 – Braham Bhoj
In our Hindu tradition, there is a profound custom of organizing a Brahma Bhoj to honour a loved one who has passed away. In keeping with this custom, a grand Brahma Bhoj was held in memory of our beloved Badi Didi.
This event also marks the culmination of the rites and rituals undertaken for her. We extended our respect to many Brahmins by offering them a grand meal, and at their departure, thoughtful gifts were given to them. Badi Didi, throughout her life, hosted numerous Brahma Bhoj events for her father, the esteemed Jagadguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj, her mother, affectionately called Amma, and her grandmother, whom we lovingly referred to as Aaji.
Today, her two younger sisters, carrying heavy hearts yet striving to remain strong, had organised this elaborate Brahma Bhoj in her honour. Their efforts reflect not only their love but also their unwavering commitment to doing everything just as Badi Didi herself would have done.
The ceremony was attended by preachers, devotees, and well-wishers from all walks of life, who had come together to pay their respects to Badi Didi. United under one roof, they were all bound by the thread of love that Badi Didi had so freely shared throughout her life. It is this love that continues to inspire and connect us all.
In the evening, as a further tribute to her compassion and generosity, a delicious meal was served to the impoverished villagers at the grand Yugal Vihar shed.
Through this offering, her younger sisters have demonstrated the boundless love and reverence they hold for their elder sister. They left no stone unturned in honouring her memory and upheld every detail with the same grace and devotion that Badi Didi herself represented.
